Their son Clay began farming full time with them in 1998. In the fall of 1999, they started DMG Turf grass business. It began with 23 acres and since has grown to more than 300 acres in production. They started with fescue and now grow 5 varieties of grasses including TifGrand Bermuda. Currently DMG Turf and Farms produce tobacco, sweet potatoes, soybeans and of course sod. With more than 25 years combined experience sod farming, along with over 100 years of family farmed soil, The Gardner’s take great pride in quality and are committed to their crops and customers.
